"Il Monte" is in the building's upper store. From the windows and the wooden roofed balcony of the 70 sq. m. apartment one has an unobstructed view on the wood covered hills surrounding the big castle. The apartment features two double bedrooms or beds for 4 persons. The other rooms are a living room (with kitchenette and fireplace) and a shower equipped bathroom (like the other two apartments). There are also satellite-TV and telephone. Every apartment is also equipped with independent wi-fi free access and a sophisticated air conditioning system allowing a different regulation of cooling in the living area and in the sleeping area.
As one can see in the pictures, most of the old furniture in these apartments for tourist rental in Cortona has been recovered and the rest of the rooms has been furnished in the typical Tuscan style.
Thanks to its location on a hill and the massive over 60 cm thick bearing walls all rooms are cool in the summer making air-conditioning unnecessary and keeping in the heat during the winter. The old storeroom located in the basement adjoining the apartments doubles up as breakfast room and is available to guests for their lunches and dinners. The apartment can be rented together with the whole of the country house.
